Milwaukee Ultimate Spring League 2006

The Milwaukee Ultimate Club has announced the leagues for Spring of 2006. They have three nights available. I’ve been playing ultimate for two seasons now, and totally love it. It’s great exercise, and lots of fun. Also, we always enjoy a few drinks after the games.

Check out the Ultimate Players Association site for more info on the game of Ultimate.

Hey everyone. Matt’s right–it’s a lot of fun–a bar league sport for people who are actually somewhat in shape compared to, say, softball, and who like to run around with the objective of throwing a flying disc to a teammate in an end zone. End zones are the place where similarity to football ends–it’s more like soccer, with the pivot foot and jumping elements of basketball. It’s very prevalent as a club sport at colleges, but even if you didn’t play then, you can get up to speed fairly fast if you have pretty good experience with throw-and-catch.
I’m giving you this little shpeel ’cause the website doesn’t give anything but registration info, so check it out. Everyone is fun and social too.
