Hello Kampala

I arrived in Kampala, Uganda yesterday. Stayed in total roach motel that overlooked the central market. Kampala is way more laid back than Arusha. I don’t get hassled on the street anywhere near as much . Tomorrow I’m heading on a three-day safari to track the chimpanzees in Kibali National Park. The gorilla trekking was much more expensive, and cumbersome to set up than I had anticipated due to the popularity of it. Oh well, this will be great trip instead. On a bad note, I think my battery charger is broken. Hopefully I have enough juice to get me through my trip. I can always buy AA batteries if I need to. I’ve got lots more to write, hopefully will have more time when I return from chimp tracking.

    Hey Matt. Upload some pictures on Flickr — Specially the ones where the gorillas attack you :) And Jim thinks that your battery charger wouldn’t have broken if you had bought the Sony camera instead of the Canon ;)
