I arrived in Kampala, Uganda yesterday. Stayed in total roach motel that overlooked the central market. Kampala is way more laid back than Arusha. Northwest sucks. Had to turn around on way from Milwaukee to Minneapolis because of mechanical problems, so I missed all of my connections. There is only one flight from Amsterdam to Kilimanjaro, so I have to start all over again tomorrow. Not a great start to the trip.
I’m leaving for Tanzania in a few hours. Can’t wait to spend the next 21 hours on planes and in airports. It’s windier than hell right now. Hopefully my plane doesn’t end up like this one.
