Ultimate
I had my first Ultimate game last night. It was a little more competitive than the pickup games that I’ve played. A little more strategy too. Apparently, running around in circles and yelling “I’m open” isn’t the most effective way to play. I expected to play a bit better than I did. Only had one score, but a few drops and even more bad throws. I’ll chalk those up to nerves. Everyone on my team was very helpful and were patient with me. Ultimate is a total blast. Hey!! If you found this commentary interesting and like to run around and toss a frisbee, then join me (and hopefully Matt too) in the Milwaukee Ultimate Club 2006 spring league. Information is finally up on their site–milwaukeeultimate.com and they have leagues available on 3 nights, all under the lights, starting fisrt week of April. It’s a blast!! everyone is super-cool, laid back, and helpful even if you don’t have much experience.
