MICFO web hosting Sucks
Under no circumstances should you ever use MICFO for web hosting. I have now moved back to my old hosting service after less than 24 hours with MICFO. So far on the first day, I have barely been able to connect to my site. They claim it was a denial of service attack, and that is why I couldn’t get through. I don’t really think they know what the issue was. They also took 12 hours to setup my account although they guarantee instant setup. And to top it all of, I ordered a dedicated IP, but they gave me a shared IP initially. I guess if sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.

Glad you got away from MICFO. Time to go to pair.com

I don’t know, now that you’ve introduced me to squirrel mail, I may just stick with my current provider. I also found out that they do provide SSH access to my account. I have to fax them a copy of my driver’s license before they will turn it on. I guess they want proof that I’m not a drug dealer or terrorist.

Stay far away from MICFO. I’ve been using Pair for a while now, and have been pretty happy with them. They are a bit pricey, but it’s worth the extra money to avoid the headaches.

Micfo has got to have the most incompetent support staff of any hosting company out there. No, I’m wrong. Micfo has the most incompetent support staff of any internet based company.
That goes for their billing staff also. I was recently charged for renewing a domain which in my account control panel was explicitly set to the setting “do not renew”.
Their billing department refuses to issue a refund, so I think I’m going to just piss them off by having my bank issue a chargeback. Oh, and their terms of service say that clients aren’t allowed to issue chargebacks, and will be penalized with an extra fee.
So, I just have to tell my bank to block all further credit card charges from Micfo.
I can rant some more if you’d like. Ok?
What’s more, I have a client that just paid for 4 years of hosting with Micfo. Now I’m going to have my client move to a different host and take up on the money back guarantee that Micfo offers. I think they paid like $250, but since Micfo has a problem refunding a measly $7 to me for a billing error on their part, now they’re going to lose out on a large portion of the money that my client paid them.
Oh yeah, for the search engines:
Micfo sucks, micfo worst web host. stay away from micfo.

Micfo is the WORST! They were great a while back, had awesome tech support, everything ran like a top. Then they went through some changes and became the worst web host out there. Their tech support SUCKS! They have no idea what they are doing. They totally lost my entire site once, lost all backups, lost my “free sitebuilder” file, etc. Making the slightest change in anything takes a week to propogate. When you call for support you no longer get a competent English speaking person, support is now somewhere on the other side of the world, I believe in an insane assylum in Pakistan. I will be getting out of there this week and will never look back. DO NOT USE MICFO EVER!!!

Hey guys,
Thanks for updating me on this. BTW I have been with Micfo for last 4 months and didn’t have any serious problem yet. I hope it will continue as it is.

I have never had a problem with micfo to date, but I now use three hosting companies to split up my 80 domain names. Everybody guarantees 99.9% uptime, but take it as a grain of salt. It is all marketing bull crap.

MICFO is the absolute worst host I have ever had next to tera-byte.
They are rude, show you no respect and put you on some low end
server after your first year. They have this sneaky thing where it
appears that you pay for 2 years and get 2 for free. WELL the thing
is, in the end it is like paying for one year regular, then 3 years on
a free host or something. SOOOO many problems, downtime,
LIES from micfo terms of service, changes of their claims,
refusal to honor their prior service, etc, etc.
SERIOUSLY do not get scammed by their buy a year, get
3 free or whatever scam they have going, it is best to pay
1 year at a time and one year only at a QUALITY company,
which micfo is so far from being I can\’t begin to explain.

God I hate MICFO .
Why I stayed so long I will never know. They are completly incompetent. They one day deleted my whole account , bam thats it gone. No reason no nothing. They said it could not be recovered and offered no explanation. I had the site on my PC but all the data in my database vanished in the blink of an eye, ya I should of backed it up, but with them you would have to back up every hour, since you never know where there gona DELETE YOUR WHOLE ACCOUNT. What the hell is this.
Listen to me now. if your with them 1. backup your data 2. Move your site off there servers now! dont think it wont happen to you

Yes, totally agree. Micfo is really, really bad and they are just getting worse and worse, especially the support staff. I recently joined a new host even though I have one of their “lifetime” packages on a “”"VIP”"” server…
yeah right. No I have to migrate everything ans they are even making that hard with their incompetence!!!
Micfo Review – Lowest possible.

Micfo is suck!! I have reseller lifetime packages on VIP Server, recently the site went wrong, been back and forward none of them telling me what happen. After many back and forward, someone tell me the truth! they have moved all lifetime reseller/share VIP Server to Melbourne Server which is low configuration from what we been promised!!
I don’t know whatelse to say but feel been cheated by them after all this years!!.. whoever read this message “PLEASE KEEP AWAY FROM MICFO”
